Introduction
How to follow last year's buspass pilgrimage to Durham ?
Browsing the Oxfam bookshop in Colchester, I find a copy of C J Sansom's Sovereign. And inside the cover, a map of Henry VIII's progress to the north of 1541.
That's it then.
I had hoped to do it in January, but the weather, and lack of time to prepare, conspired against me.
So I'm now setting off on May 10, with a comfortable room in the Bar Convent booked for the weekend.
Other details still hazy, though I intend to start in Whitehall, and spend the first night in St Alban's ....
Any suggestions very welcome - please comment if you wish
